Paul Stordahl

Service Technician

Paul is a Master Control Technician and Co-Owner. He began his career in controls and building management systems with Library Tower, now U.S. Bank Tower, in Los Angles in 1987. For nearly 30 years he has been providing top quality customer service on cutting edge building management technology.

Paul and his family have made their home in Bozeman since 2006. Paul is the visionary and driving force behind core control. His emphasis is always taking care of people. ‘A client since 2009’ reflects on Paul and the team he has built around himself: “I highly recommend using Core Control. They quickly went from a valued sub to valued friends.”

Eric Fendler

Service Technician

Eric is a Master Plumber and Co-Owner. He has been working full time since he was fifteen years old. He began his pluming career in 1978 and is the former owner of BL&F Plumbing. In 2014, BL&F and Core merged into one company, making Core a one-stop-shop for integrated building maintenance services. Eric and Marsha have raised their children in Bozeman. In his spare time, he enjoys his Harley Davidson and playing the bagpipes with The Black Devils Pipeband.

Tom Milleson

Chief Operations Officer

Tom is a Licensed Architect and Co-Owner. He joined Core in 2000, first as a consultant, then an employee and now as a co-owner. His professional experience and training in architecture capture the essence of our business philosophy: interdisciplinary service to our community through comfortable, pleasing buildings. In his spare time he enjoys gardening, and travel with wife, Cindy, and daughter, Ashley.

Brad Crowe

Service Technician

Brad is a Master Control Technician of over 20 years. He joined core in 2015 and brings extensive controls engineering and programming experience to the team. He is a leader for our crews. Brad and his wife are newlyweds and make their home in Willow Creek, Montana, south of Three Forks, which is very close to where Brad was raised.

Shannon Vaughn

Business Manager

Shannon joined the core team in April of 2014 and her value to the company reaches way beyond bookkeeping. She is a capable estimator and her engineering and environmental training enhance how we look at our work. The ownership team is actively considering ways to enhance our services with her skill set. She and her husband, Chad, have two boys, Gunner and Crosby. Shannon enjoys cooking, re-finishing furniture, hiking and skiing.

Eric Bueling

Service Technician

Eric is a Journeyman HVAC mechanic and trainer with UA41. He joined core in 2013. He brings a wealth of diverse technical and troubleshooting skill to the team. A Montana native he has 7 years of experience remodeling and building his own homes. Like most philosophy majors, he and his wife are cat people: Indy and Ace.

Chad Marks

Service Technician

Chad, a retired Marine Corps Combat Veteran, joined core in 2014. He is currently an apprentice with UA41. Previous employment included valuable experience as an oil refinery mechanic. Chad enjoys being in the great outdoors of southwestern Montana. He and his wife have one baby daughter, Ruby.

Keanon Dixon

Service Technician

Keanon is a Bozeman native and, before coming to core in 2014, worked at Bozeman TV and Appliance. He is currently a UA41 apprentice. He and his Australian shepherd/Karelian bear dog cross, Mason, can often be found together fishing. Unfortunately, Mason is way too big to join Keanon on the job site.

Doug Stewart

Service Technician

Doug, a journeyman pipe fitter with UA Local 41, began his career as a young man at his father in law's business: Tri-County Mechanical & Electrical. He has served the Helena community for decades in various capacities, including owning his own small business familiar to many in the local market, P&E Supply. Doug has a wealth of product knowledge, is a capable cross-trade field tech, and handles most of our Helena area customer relations and sales tasks.

Tony Martello

Service Technician

Tony joined the Core Control team in 2016, helping anchor our Helena service division. He has worked in and around the trades since 2006. He is a licensed Journeyman plumber with UA 41 and is cross-training in HVAC and Controls technology. Born and raised in Helena, he makes his home in East Helena with his wife, two kids, and two dogs.

Joe Burke

Service Technician

Joe, a third generation Butte native, joined the Core team in 2016. For more than a decade he has served the Butte community as a plumber and, more recently, as a trainer for the UA41 JATC program. He carries his Masters Plumbing License and Med Gas endorsement. Joe came to Core for the opportunity to build skill and knowledge on the refrigeration and control side. With his wife and their two daughters, they make their home not far from where he grew up. He is an avid outdoors-man, a dedicated husband and father, and a leader with integrity.

Lexxy Bueling

Service Technician

Lexxy is a skilled and experienced laboratory chemist. She explains her reason for joining Core in 2017 saying: "I like to get my hands dirty and the better you are at science, the more you sit behind a desk." She is an apprentice with UA41 and excited about bringing her education to bear on trade work. Lexxy is a regular presenter for "The Girls' STEM Round Up" hosted by Exploration Works and Carroll College.

John Vermillion

Warehouse Manager

John came to Core in 2017 with a wealth of valuable experience. He was previously the Operations Manager for Ace Hardware for seven years, overseeing thirteen stores. Then he made a move to the John Deere team, starting out as a parts manager and quickly moving to a corporate position with responsibility for the parts departments of eight dealerships. John is an excellent mechanic, a capable accounting assistant, and can always be counted on for good humor - all invaluable qualities in the warehouse. John hopes to join the UA41 Plumbers & Pipefitters apprenticeship program soon.

Kathy Burr

Service Manager

Kathy is the beating heart, the nerve center, the Core of our service delivery. Starting in 2017, Kathy brought us full circle from the customer, to sales, to technicians, to accounting and management and, ultimately, back to the ongoing needs of our customers. She brings over a decade of controls industry experience to our back office team, joining us from a major, regional distributor.
